Belizean Beach Body- Our Exercise Options in Placencia

So one of the handful of things that we miss right off the bat about our lives in the States… a proper gym! You know what I mean- a clean modern facility decked out with cardio machines, all manner of weights, AIR CONDITIONING, and (this is probably asking way too much now) a childcare room?!?! There are two gyms here in the village and neither of them are cheap to join. One is Evolution Gym,  an open-air type of place in the front yard of a local’s house……

Field Trip-Atlantic City Seafood Festival

For the third consecutive year, the Atlantic City Seafood Festival was held at Bader Field in Atlantic City. So weird) You can sometimes find Heineken imported from the Caribbean along with Red Stripe or Carib.  Belikin makes seasonal and special edition brews in limited quantities but these aren’t readily…

Miss about America- Adult Sports!

Okay! Alright! Obviously I’ll miss family and friends something fierce when we move abroad but there are other things I’ll miss about the States. For the past decade Phil and I have lived in south jersey and I’ll tell you, we’ve met some wonderful people and participated in some really fun activities.  The adult sports and recreational scene is exploding down here.       Whatever your passion or fitness level is there is a rec league in south jersey for you.  We have everything from good old…
