Last week when my mom was visiting, we went for a lovely lobster dinner at Wendy’s then on to Tutti Frutti for gelato. Both places we ran in to a very jovial guy that I started chatting to; he’s the GM of Di Bruwry in Ladyville! You remember I wrote about it here; Belikin’s new flagship brew pub. It is the biggest and the best in Belize and I promised I’d try to make it back on Saturday when we went up to drop my mom off at the airport. Then the next night when we attended the soft opening of the new Sports Lounge in Tipsy, Gillian told me that Two-5’s had brewed a special edition pumpkin spice beer that was already sold out (for distribution) but could still be had at the brewery. Now I was REALLY motivated to get back!
So! Over the weekend we hit up Di Bruwry and it did not disappoint. If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Ladyville for whatever reason (airport pickup or drop off, doctor appointment in the city, whatever), carve out time to check this place out. Not only is it massive and modern but they have all the Bowen & Bowen beers on draft and a well thought out menu that they execute really really well. The wait staff are awesomely attentive and the whole place seems to run like a well-oiled machine.
Mitch gets really excited over the automatic flush toilets here but my mind was blown by this:
A countertop canning machine so you can take home your choice of their drafts!
You know we had to get some cans of pumpkin to take as well as my favorite- the Bird Pepper Porter. We also got a growler from the gift shop that was a big bargain at $35bzd; you couldn’t find growlers on Amazon for that price! (I told my komucha brewing friends about it)
I’m so excited to see and taste what Two-5’s brews next and I can’t wait to go back to Di Bruwry. Have you been yet? What did you think? Let me know in the comments.
