This weekend’s first of a few fundraising events for Sindey Tut was a success! Thanks to the participants from Placencia, Hopkins, and Dangriga the build-your-own-mini-green-wall event raised $700 bzd. Huge-hearted and generous readers of this blog abroad sent over a thousand additional dollars! I am so heartened by the support being shown from far and wide.
We would be remiss if we forgot to thank Aisha for hosting us at her new café, Lush Life, and giving us happy hour prices the entire night. I love this spot! The décor, the drink, the menu- it’s all so creative and perfectly executed.
All participants received a bamboo frame and a bag of epiphytes to tie to the wire background with fishing wire.
The end result is an individualized living air plant frame. Some people went really full with their flowers and others choose to be sparse with greenery. You could add in your own flair like shells, beads, driftwood.

I love how these turned out and that everyone had fun. The next event like this is at Little Wine Bar on the 15th.
Look at this dynamic duo- feeling cute and doing good!
