Itz’ana Resort, luxury hotel and residences, has just begun offering wood-oven pizza prepared hot and fresh to be enjoyed on the beach or beside the pool. You needn’t be an overnight guest of the resort to relish this experience, Itz’ana invites you to participate in pizza by the pool every Saturday and Sunday (reservations suggested but not necessarily required).
I’ve wrote about Itz’ana a few times before: the opening night for industry professionals, their off-season wine sale, living the dream and pretending the entire resort was for me alone. The resort is coming along slowly as far as construction goes (it’s years past its original projection date for completion) but what is finished and operational is top notch. I really mean that: the décor, the amenities, the service is all top of the line.
We thoroughly enjoyed indulging in our pizzas and cold Belikins by the pool; comfy loungers, plush towels, happy kids- does life get any better?! Whether you live on the peninsula full-time or are just visiting, plan to treat the family to a fancy pool day at Itz’ana one weekend (or each weekend!). There is no pool fee and the pizza prices are quite reasonable. They do charge the standard resort fee tax on the final bill but that’s typical of every resort in Belize.
