Today we made the pilgrimage up to Maya Beach and tried out the sandwiches at Twirl. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the paninis are, and the soft serve was a sweet and smooth treat. The beach front location is beautiful and made quite comfortable with picnic tables in the shade. $9-10 sandwiches, $4 ice cream and a variety of blended coffees and shakes make up the menu. There is ample parking space and the sea is shallow and sandy-bottomed. I could easily envision bringing Mitch and his friends here for a few hours and having a swim and a couple cones on a hot afternoon.
